Introduction :

Culture and Environment Preservation Association (CEPA) is a local NGO was founded in 1995, by a group of young students from the different universities in Phnom Penh. In Appril 1996, CEPA received its certificate of register from the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Cambodia. CEPA is working to ensure that an independent society that preserves its culture and protects its environment while collaborating with partners, government agencies, researchers and international communities to meet its needs without compromising its abilities to meet the needs of future generation in terms of their environmental, social and economic stability and security. To achieve the vision, CEPA has to implement program such as Advocacy, Community based Forestry / Fishery.

CEPA is now seeking 4 qualified Cambodian National candidates to work in a project of “Building adaptive capacity and resilience to floods and droughts in indigenous and minority communities” with the following positions:

Job Requirement :
  • Cambodian National
  • Bachelor degree or under graduate in Forestry or Agriculture Economic and Rural Development and other Experiences related to community work.
  • At least 1 years working experiences with NGOs on community development
  • Willing to stay and work in villages.
  • Knowledge of climate change concept
  • Ability to build communication and networks with stakeholders from grass root level to provincial level.
  • Ability to communicate in indigenous language is preferred
  • Be able to speak and write some in English
  • Computer skill ( Photoshop, Power point, word, Excel and GIS)
  • Current resident based in Ratanakiri province is preferred
Job Duties :
  • Collaborate and communicate with Government agencies in the provincial level and other NGOs.
  • Assist the project officer to organize commune/provincial/National meeting or workshop.
  • Participate in training manual development on Climate change and disaster risk Reduction concept for Target Beneficiaries.
  • Provide trainings to target communities.
  • Participate to conduct assessment on the hazard, vulnerability, risk and capacity.
  • Assist to coordinate to development Early Warning System (EWS)
  • Working with project officer to develop CCA action plan disaster management plan for target community and integrate into Commune Investment Plan (CIP)
  • Propose ideas for project implementation and produce documentation for community education.
  • Participate in preparation regular work plan and budgeting for monthly basic
  • Responsible on minutes taking and reporting
  • Participate to produce knowledge products including case study or successful story for promoting the output/outcome of the project.
