Project title: Child rights promotion through caregiver livelihood building project
KREDIT is one of the leading microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. World Relief US established KREDIT in 1993 to provide financial services and primary health to Cambodia's poor women in the urban and rural. Since its transition to professional MFI in 2004, KREDIT has shown its solid growth with quality, good profit, and also strong contribution to clients and community development. In late 2010, KREDIT got Micro Deposit Taking Institution (MDI) license from National Bank of Cambodia (NBC). As of Dec 2015, KREDIT is operating in 20 provinces and town of Cambodia through its 82 offices, handling with 92,919 borrowing accounts with a total loan outstanding of USD 128,574,585 million. There are 40.00% of all clients have engaged in a special program, namely Vulnerable Services Unit “VSU” which targets to poor families with special loan condition: Low interest rate, no collateral, village–based services plus many different types of training.
